Atlantic Selected for Rain Bird Sales Award - Second Year in a Row.

Atlantic Irrigation's Golf Division was selected for a "Top Flight" Sales Award by Rain Bird at a recent Rain Bird Awards Banquet, held during the Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida.  This is the second year in a row that Atlantic was selected for this prestigious award.  Atlantic was one of only five distributors nationwide that were selected for the Top Flight award this year.  This award is given to distributors that meet or exceed Rain Bird's sales goal expectations and exemplify excellence in distribution.  The acknowledgement is a testiment to all of the hard work and resulting successes that I know our whole team accomplished in 2010.  Our customers can rest easy that they are dealing with one of the Nation's top 5 Rain Bird Golf Distributors.

Atlantic Wins Bid for Round Hill Club's New System

Atlantic Irrigation will be supplying the new irrigation system for Round Hill Club in Greenwich, CT.  At time of writing, the installing contractor has not been selected.  The design for this sizable project was prepared by Irrigation Consulting, Inc. of Pepperell, Mass.  The system employs an innovative head layout which will allow Round Hill to conserve water use in times of drought and water restrictions.  The project is scheduled to commence in early August 2011 and will include a new pump station, all new pipe and fittings, nearly 1800 Rain Bird Eagle Sprinklers, with most being the new 751 model with "Full and Part in One" feature and a whole array of various landscape size sprinklers and spray heads with MP Rotator Nozzles for Bunker Irrigation.  All of these sprinklers and block zones will be controlled by a Rain Bird Cirrus Central and a total of 39 Rain Bird PAR+ES Controllers.  There is also an elaborate network of transfer lines and piping between well pumps, a city water feed, and the irrigation ponds as part of this project.  Atlantic will be supplying all of these materials as well as the irrigation components.

Sean Foley, the superintendent at Round Hill,  told us that he made his choice based on Atlantic's superior ability to service him, and his past familiarity and comfort level with Rain Bird products.  Before arriving at Round Hill, Sean worked at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester NY and Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY.  Both of these prestigious courses are also users of Rain Bird systems and experience the region's finest support from Atlantic.  This is an exceptionally sweet win for us since we will be replacing the Toro VP control system that Round Hill purchased just four years ago.  More updates and details will follow on this blog as the project progresses.
